About Course

Welcome to our Latin course for beginners. Here you will learn the basics of Latin in an effective and lasting way. Our teaching method is the so-called ‘natura’ or ‘inductive-contextual’ method. The book we will use is called Familia Romana, from the series Lingua Latina Per Se Illustrata, written by Hans H. Ørberg. Each lesson will be composed of an introductory video, a recorded lesson with live students, review material, quizzes and exercises, and a Q&A forum where you can ask your questions. Your duty will be to reread the chapter several times and solve the corresponding exercises.

Note: The course is under construction, and therefore it is possible that not all the material will be available at the moment. Thank you for your patience!

I really enjoy the course. I still remember a lot from my school days.
The units are varied in terms of the methods used.

Magister Iacobus is an excellent teacher! He presents things in an easy to understand way, and goes at a pace that allows one to digest the material. He makes sure everyone is grasping the instruction and presents it in a straightforward, concise way.
